If you are injured at work in Wisconsin, and miss time from work due to your injury, with a doctor’s permission, then you are entitled to a benefit for lost wages which is equal to two thirds of your average weekly wage. This benefit is called Temporal Total Disablity (TTD) and is paid weekly. If you are off work for your injury, there is a three day waiting period before you can receive this TTD benefit. However, if you are off work over seven (7) days from the date of your injury, then the three (3) day waiting period is waived and you will receive lost time TTD benefits for all you lost time except for the actual day of your injury. If you have questions about TTD or lost time benefits under Wisconsin Workers comp law, you can call Attorney John Jokela at 715-845-9000 for a free consultation.
